NiKKi Fron was founded in 1896 as a hemp wholesaler in the neighborhood of Zenkoji Temple in Nagano Prefecture, and later invented a functional material (silk-hemp packing) using hemp and silk waste materials in collaboration with Ueda College of Sericulture (now the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu University). With this invention as a turning point, we established our current company structure in 1944 and made the transition from commerce to industry. Since then, adapting to contemporary needs, we have pivoted the materials and products we handle and overcome countless periods of hardship. Thanks to your support, we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the company's establishment in 2024 and the 130th anniversary of its founding in 2026.
Our group has five corporations and three manufacturing bases in Japan and overseas. By establishing a system in which each is strong and independent and can complement each other, we have built a value chain that can steadily supply cutting-edge products such as fluororesin and fiber-reinforced plastic materials and processed parts, as well as machinery and equipment, to our main markets in the semiconductor and automotive industries.
